Rock you like a Hurricane Irene

So it turns out that you aren't supposed to go out after Hurricanes. Did you know the most accidents and deaths occur when people are silly and go out when power lines are still down, and road haven't yet been cleared.

We were silly, and had an adventure.

It's crazy what one afternoon of wind and water could do to down trees, and tear up roads, homes and pretty much anything else in its path

Other silly people like us that ventured out the morning after to get a glimpse of the damage

Trees were down everywhere-and usually power lines with them

This is one of my favorite places to run-and is usually all a beach here

 No running today!

In-laws x 2

Spent a fun weekend with Bro and Sis in-law Ben and Sara, and in-laws Dave and Julie. No surprise with Julie and Sara along there was lots of food, fun and little time for anything else.

It really was the perfect NY weekend
 Sunny walks on the highline
Tour of lower Manhattan (Brooklyn Bridge, South Street Seaport and Chelsea Market),

Great Korean BBQ that Sara found

Breakfast at Norma's, and morning bike ride with the crowd down Park Ave

Ending it with a restaurant week favorite (One if by land, Two if by sea) and a quick run through the pouring NY rain to catch our show (Zarkana at Radio City)

Is it a surprise that we love having family around?
