Graduation

It's pretty hard to believe that the three years of law school are over! It's crazy to think of how my life has changed since starting this little journey. I went from being a single girl, only a year off of my mission, living across the street from the J. Reuben Clark Law school in Provo, Utah;  to being married for 18 months, commuting 3 hours a day into Fordham Law school in Manhattan, and living in Darien, Connecticut. I cherish the friendships that I've made both at BYU and Fordham. I can honestly say that all the change has been for the better, and I'm grateful for the last three years.

I couldn't have ended off the experience with a better graduation weekend, with some incredibly supportive parents and in-laws. My parents and Dave and Julie flew out and we spent the weekend mainly in Manhattan, and Ben and Sara came in for the weekend as well. Here's a taste of the fun:

Friday night we went to the Yankee's Mets game.

Saturday morning we lucked out with perfect weather and walked up to breakfast at Sarabeth's, then walked over to show the crew Fordham Law School.

My dad and I outside of Fordham.

We then walked up to Levain's Bakery in the upper west side where they have the most delicious, and heaviest, cookies in all of NY.

Julie and Sara enjoying the cookies (we also took a bag of them with us to the show that afternoon)

Dave had to study that morning, but then got to come with us to...

 Spiderman!

That night we had dinner at Mr. K's in Manhattan. The little golden dish in front of Dave was the serving dish that the soup came in, amazing food and great company

And last but not least, graduation!

My dad has been such an incredible believer in me from the beginning

My Mom helped me find balance, and focus on the most important things while in Law school

I really felt so much love and support all weekend, both from the family in NY and through the sweet notes and calls from the rest of family and friends (I can't say enough about how sweet the people out here have been-I have felt so much support!). As I sat with all the other Fordham graduates, through my mind flashed all the great friends and amazing mentors both from BYU and Fordham, Provo and New York that I have made along the way. I'm excited to be moving on, but know that I'll forever cherish  and be blessed by the learning and growth from the past three years.
